La crisis de deuda de Ucrania (2014–2015):
arquitectura financiera internacional, geopolítica y lecciones para países periféricos

El presente artículo analiza en profundidad la crisis de deuda que se desarrolló en Ucrania entre los años 2014 y 2015. El objetivo del mismo es mostrar la importancia de la dimensión geopolítica en el estudio de las relaciones económicas internacionales, en especial en crisis de deudas en países periféricos. Para ello, se identifica a la crisis como un caso extremo en la intervención arquitectura financiera internacional luego de la crisis económica internacional 2007-2008. Para su estudio, se delinean los principales elementos que contextualizan política y geopolíticamente el Euromaidán; y a continuación, se presenta la secuencia de procesos involucrados en la crisis de deuda incluyendo los distintos actores internacionales. Luego se exponen los hallazgos del caso analizado en cuanto la relación geopolítica y finanzas; y, finalmente, se plantean problemas teóricos derivados del problema en cuestión y desafíos para otros países periféricos que atraviesan crisis de deuda soberana.
