What happened to the developmentalism hegemony? Times of transition and new positions within the power bloc in Argentina
Abstract
In this article, we elaborated some points of analysis on the economic-political articulation of the different sectors of the ruling class within the framework of the erosion of the hegemony that led to the stabilization of a new mode of post-neoliberal development between 2002 and 2011. On the one hand, we consolidate a perspective that we have been developing in previous works on the emergency within the framework of the neoliberal organic crisis of a hegemonic project that we have named as "developmentalist". We return to the article the main elements of this one to account for a sector (the productive sector) that managed to transform its position into hegemonic within the ruling classes for a considerable time (at least 2002-2008). On the other hand, we analyze the process by which the erosion of the developmental hegemony culminates in its crisis. At this point, we inquire about the role played by the changes in political positions, the discursive strategies, and the demands of the different sectors of the ruling class in order to redirect that crisis towards a new hegemonic stabilization after 2011.
