Subimperialism and Capital-imperialism: current reflections about dependent capitalism in Brazil
Abstract
This article aims to make a contemporary rescue about theoretical category developed by Marxist Theory of Dependence, the sub-imperialism, dialoguing the thesis with some concrete aspects of Brazilian economy. Therefore, we will emphasize the current debate about the category in Brazil, presenting, by discordance, the thesis of capital -imperialism and the current efforts of interpretation about sub-imperialism. Finally, we dialogue current studies about sub-imperialism with economic indicators at Brazilian’s economy, articulating this thesis to the elements that characterize the current form of economic insertion of Brazil in Latin America.
