The publication of the book entitled "The old and the new economic power in Argentina from the 19th century to the present day", compiled by Martín Schorr and produced by a group of renowned researchers and researchers, Lorenzo Cassini, Ana Castellani, Alejandro Gaggero, Gustavo García Zanotti, Norma Silvana Lanciotti, Andrea Lluch, Ricardo Ortiz, Mario Raccanello, Marcelo Rougier and Andrés Wainer, constitutes a valuable contribution to the understanding of an unavoidable dimension of Argentine capitalism: the genesis and main transformations of the dome of economic power, its link with state policies and the socio-economic implications of its behavior from a long-term perspective. The book brings together an introduction and seven articulated chapters, insofar as they share the conceptual basis and the methodological strategy, which allow us to analyze the object of study from 1860 until the end of the Alianza Cambiemos government in December 2019. The perspective of The analysis used is related to the Latin American historical-structural approach and, therefore, is supported by a solid and complex work of construction of empirical evidence of a statistical nature, compatible over time. Likewise, it takes up, critically dialogues and amplifies the findings from a vast intellectual heritage existing in Argentina in relation to this field of problems.Downloads
