When growth isn’t development. Some stylized facts of industrial dynamics in the posconvertibilidad
Abstract
This paper analyzes the main "stylized facts" of the trajectory of the industry in Argentina of the posconvertibility. The work includes a study of industrial production structure from specialization profile, a look on industrial employment and income distribution, a detailed analysis of external performance and, finally, the dynamic entrepreneur. From the contributions of these elements to the characterization of manufacturing performance in recent years, is expected to provide evidence that serve to argue with the "re-industrialization thesis". And although can see ruptures of stage "kirchnerista", respect the industrial road map typical of the 1990s and, more broadly, of phase from 1976 to 2001, no less certain is the fact that have been strengthened many of the critical legacy of neoliberalism.
